Jacob's School Days

This is Jacob's 4th week at daycare and he seems to be adjusting really well. This morning I got him dressed and asked "Are you ready for school?" He answered Yes! and went to find Daddy and said School? School? He didn't cry this morning just said Bye Mommy and left with his Dad. Even though he is very clingy on the weekends, he sounds like he is growing more independent when he's away from me. His teacher sends home notes every day about his day and here are some excerpts worth sharing:

1/9 He sang songs and checked out what the other children were doing
1/17 I smiled alot. I loved the walks and loved interacting with my friends
1/25 He enjoys moving about, dancing and playing in the kitchen area. At times he sits on the couch to relax. He's an easygoing little boy. Does not get into trouble with anybody. He responds to us really well.

His favorite things are singing and dancing and doing puzzles. He's not too crazy about finger paints and just likes to look at the other kids getting messy. I feel really lucky to have found this daycare. It makes it easier for me to leave him knowing he's happy and playing.
